বিদ্যালয় একজন শিক্ষার্থীর মানসিক বিকাশের একটি আদর্শ স্থান। ১৯১৮ সালের পূর্বে এই অঞ্চলে ( বর্তমানে চন্দনাইশ )শিক্ষার্থীদের অধ্যয়নের জন্য তেমন কোন উল্লেখযোগ্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠান ছিল না। তৎসময়ে প্রয়াত আব্দুল করিম সাহিত্য বিশারদ ও মরহুম মনিরুজ্জামান ইসলামাবাদী ছাড়া কোন পণ্ডিত ব্যক্তির নামও লোক সমাজে প্রচলিত ছিল না। এমন কঠিন সময়ে দু'জন মান্যবর স্বর্গীয় নিত্যানন্দ বাবু এবং গৌরচন্দ্র বাবু মিলে অত্র এলাকার পিছিয়ে পড়া জনগনের উন্নয়নে ও শিক্ষা দীক্ষায় মানুষ করে গড়ে তোলার প্রয়াসে অত্র বিদ্যালয় প্রতিষ্ঠার উদ্যোগ নেন। শত বাধা বিপত্তি ও সীমাবদ্ধতা পেরিয়ে আজ মহীরুহ রুপে দণ্ডায়মান জ্ঞানদাত্রী এ প্রতিষ্ঠান। তারই প্রমাণ আজকের গাছবাড়িয়া নিত্যানন্দ গৌরচন্দ্র সরকারি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়।
শিক্ষা মানুযের মৌলিক অধিকার, যার উদ্দেশ্য একটি মানুষকে বৈষয়িক সমস্ত স্বার্থবুদ্ধির উপরে রেখে মূল্যবোধ সম্পন্ন একটি পুর্ণাঙ্গ মানুষে পরিণত করা। আর এ প্রক্রিয়ার মাধ্যম হচ্ছে শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থী ও অভিভাবকের মেলবন্ধন। এই ত্রিমুখী সম্পর্কের সঠিক সম্মিলনেই একজন শিক্ষার্থীর জীবন সফলতার গৌরবে ভরপুর হয়।
সম্মানিত অভিভাবক, আপনি আপনার সন্তানের বিদ্যালয়ে নিয়মিত উপস্থিতি, পাঠোন্নতি, সঙ্গী নির্বাচন, অনুসন্ধিৎসা ইত্যাদি সম্পর্কে সজাগ থেকে শ্রেণী শিক্ষক /শিক্ষিকাগণকে আপনার সুচিন্তিত মতামত ও পরামর্শ দিলে তাদের পাঠোন্নতি এবং মনুষ্যত্ব বিকাশে যথাযথ সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ ফলপ্রসূ হবে। আপনার সন্তানের উত্তরোত্তর সাফল্য কামনা করি।
